Cabinets of Curiosities, the precursor to the modern museum, were marvellous collections of objects and specimens displayed in glass-topped or fronted cabinets that encouraged show & tell, touch & feel, storytelling & discussion. I often have my eye out for such a cabinet that best shows off my collections, much like this one.
Of course if you are yet to amass curious objects, this piece could work just as well as a beautiful linen cupboard or a statement kitchen cabinet.
