Lyre Drawer Knob

$26.00
In Stock

Overview:

My blacksmith Saul of Colo Forge & I developed a series of artisanal knobs that texturally capture the beauty of forged materials. This shape takes its name from the Lyrebird, one of the native birds spotted in the bushland surrounding Saul’s forge & renowned for its mimicking abilities. This knob would look great on repeat for many-drawered cabinets.

Designed in Australia, made in India

  • Dimensions:

3cm wide x 3cm high x 3cm deep (3.5cm thread). 4.7mm thread diameter. Due to the hand-beaten nature of this product, dimensions may vary slightly.

  • Material:

    Blackened iron

  • Sibellas Suggestions:

GOOD FOR | drawer knob, wall knob. WHERE TO USE | indoor, minimal exposure to water

  • Installation notes:

    Trim thread to length required

  • Care guide:

Blackened iron has been treated with a black oxidised finish for corrosive resistance and a beautiful deep rich black lustre. Our iron products are then sealed with a satin or matte gloss lacquer finish for further protection. Due to the inherent properties of iron, even once lacquered, when exposed to the air, salt & varied climates, oxidisation & patina will occur over time. The character of metal as it gets marked, changes and ages is beautiful and worth celebrating. A rub down of your product with Penetrol on a rag will help to maintain the black colouration and lustre as well as treat any surface rust that may appear over time particularly in salty environments. Embrace the changing surface of this wonderful & time honoured metal. Regular maintenance with Penetrol will be your iron product's best friend!
