Sibella's House | Bellevue Hill

This is my previous home, an Art Deco apartment with beautiful proportions and outdoor terrace. With a team of trusty tradespeople, the whirlwind renovation saw us ripping out the previous owner’s built-in storage and removing a dividing wall to open up what was a pokey kitchen and poorly lit living area. I also installed an outdoor kitchen to make the most of the generous entertaining space which is now home to much greenery and several of my bonsais.
I’m often telling people to not have an all white house, so I decided to take my own advice and drawing on colours from my paint range with Murobond, painted each room a different colour. But rather than creating a series of very colourful walls they’re more of a beautiful backdrop to compliment whatever I put against them.
My home is filled with the art & objects I have collected from my travels and from local makers with every room celebrating the smallest of details, even down to the kitchen drawers which are lined with a Laminex colour that matches the paint on the cabinetry. Also within the kitchen you will find about 10 different pieces from my hardware range but wonderfully they all work together, and compliment the kitchen shelving and table legs on the island bench created by my friend & blacksmith Saul of Colo Forge.
