Wishbone
An everyday object with a hint of mysticism is just the kind of piece I like to collect. Then you add in my slight obsession with bones, and you understand why the wishbone creeps into my alphabet. My favourites are definitely the ones that are representative of the original rather than the real thing. My beautiful silver wishbone captures the delicacy of the true-to-life object and adds some sparkle to an item that has quite an auspicious place in history. From the ancient Romans to the present-day Americans, the humble wishbone has always been regarded with symbolic importance. I love that a little bone can carry so much history with it.
