When renovating the apartment I took out internal dividing walls to open up the kitchen and transform the living room, creating a huge and well-lit entertaining space that spills out onto the outdoor terrace. We also reimagined in-built storage to create airy & generous rooms to make the most of the oversized Art deco proportions. It really is like living in a house but when you travel as much as we do, it’s just a simple lock the door scenario. I worked with my favourite building teams for the best finishes, CWF Constructions, Winchester Interiors for all the joinery and my long time collaborator for all the fine details, Saul of Colo Forge.

I chose all of my favourite materials & features when renovating the apartment; hard wearing granite quartz benchtops & kitchen island, handmade Moroccan tiles, European hardware on solid wood doors, leather plank flooring, zinc top outdoor kitchen with an antique French basin, The Society inc hardware, oak cabinetry, Smeg appliances and Murobond paint in various colours from my paint colour range. The outdoor terrace space is my favourite place that we use all year round as the fixed mechanical pergola not only lets you control the light but it’s also heated. My potted garden is irrigated, allowing for it to become a gardener’s sanctuary.
