DECONSTRUCTING A STILL LIFE
A majestic lorn paper and stitched owl isn’t quite the falcon of the Syrian desert, but is a hunter & memoir of the landscape there nonetheless. This still-life shows that sculpture can come in all shapes and sizes. You often just need to look at something in a different way. Use pegboard and make art out of your own collection of beautifully displayed hardware and hand crafted tools or other gadgets. Recreating a memory using sculpture is a great way to display parts of your adventures for others to enjoy.
We would suggest the tailor’s pin, gypsy peg, scullery brush & butcher’s roll as ways to recreate this still-life & tack a little piece of hand tinkered charm into your own walls, drawers or pegboard.
