It’s absolutely still possible to make a home feel like a personal lived-in space, even when you can’t make permanent changes. Even just a few pieces of hand-crafted hardware that can be adapted to your existing fittings, or a piece of character-filled pre-loved furniture, can make an enormous difference in giving your place the patina and texture that to many of us say "home" rather than just a place to rest your head.
